I'll be honest, I've always been intimidated by asparagus! Maybe it's because it is either amazing or so-so when it's available at restaurants, so I just figured it was really hard to make. Well I think I've figured out a surefire way to make amazing asparagus, every time! Thank goodness, because I love asparagus.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees
  2. Trim and rinse the asparagus with cold water; drain and dry
    1. The woody part snaps off easily
  3. Place the stalks in a bowl and coat with 1 T of olive oil
  4. Place the asparagus on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, sprayed with oil
  5. Season with salt and pepper, you can even add garlic, red peppers or grated parmesan cheese
  6. Bake until tender-slim stalks 5-6 minutes; thicker stalks about 15 minutes
    1. Pierce with a fork to check if they are complete
  7. Drizzle with lemon or lime juice, or balsamic vinegar
If this tells you anything, my husband said we should make these at least once a week
